Grease the improvised cake molds with cooking spray.
Mix the cake mix, flour, sugar, mixed spice, and ginger in a bowl.
Add milk and a few drops of black foam coloring to the mixture and stir until it turns gray.
Pour the mixture into the cake molds and place heavy objects on top to prevent overflow.
Bake in the oven for 1.5 hours.
Carve a well in the top of the cake for the turret to balance on.
Decorate the cake with icing and flags.
