Honey Barbecue Chicken Tenders

Ingredients
- Chicken tenders
- Flour
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Chili powder
- Paprika
- Cayenne pepper
- Cornstarch
- Baking powder
- Club soda
- Ketchup
- Brown sugar
- Apple cider vinegar
- Worcestershire sauce
- Hot sauce
- Honey
- Cold butter
- Oil for frying
- Ranch dressing (for dipping)
Instructions
- Season chicken tenders with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Mix well and allow to dry out.
- Prepare a dry mixture by combining flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and the same seasonings used for seasoning the chicken.
- Transfer 1/3 of the dry mixture to another bowl and mix in club soda to create a thin pancake batter consistency.
- Dip each seasoned chicken tender into the wet batter, then into the dry mixture, repeating the process (wet-dry-wet-dry).
- Prepare the honey barbecue sauce by mixing ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, honey, and cold butter in a saucepan until smooth.
- Fry the coated chicken tenders in oil set at 350°F for about 5-6 minutes until golden brown. Allow them to rest, then fry for an additional minute for extra crispiness.
- Serve the honey barbecue chicken tenders with ranch dressing for dipping. Enjoy!
