Instructions
- Brown the Butter: Melt 8 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a pan over medium low heat until it turns a beautiful golden hue.
- Mix the Sugars: In a mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup of white sugar and 1/2 cup of brown sugar with the cooled brown butter.
- Add the Egg: Mix in one egg at room temperature until the batter has a lava-like consistency.
- Incorporate Vanilla and Dry Ingredients: Add vanilla extract, coarse kosher salt, and baking soda, mixing thoroughly before adding flour and chocolate chips.
- Add Flour and Chocolate Chips: Mix in the all-purpose flour and dark chocolate chips until no white flour is visible.
- Scoop the Dough: Use a large cookie scoop to place six dollops of dough on a lined baking sheet, spacing them about two inches apart.
