Ingredients
- 320 grams of cold water
- 3 grams of dry yeast
- 5 grams of honey (or 2 grams of sugar)
- 400 grams of 00 flour
- 10 grams of sea salt
- Olive oil
- Toppings of choice (e.g., prosciutto, spicy provolone, arugula, granola)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix cold water, dry yeast, and honey (or sugar) until dissolved.
- Add 00 flour and sea salt to the mixture, combining until a dough forms.
- Let the dough rest covered for 30 minutes, then fold it to build gluten and let it rest for another hour.
- Shape the dough into a ball, place it in an oiled pan, and let it rise for 30-40 minutes.
- Press the dough gently to create dimples, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt, rosemary, or oregano.
- Bake at 450°F for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Once baked, top with prosciutto, spicy provolone, arugula, granola, and additional olive oil.
- Serve and enjoy the soft and crunchy focaccia.
