Ingredients

  • Beef back ribs
  • Ground coffee (2 tablespoons)
  • Brown sugar (1 tablespoon)
  • Garlic powder
  • Chipotle chili powder
  • Pepper
  • Smoked salt
  • Soy paste (or alternative: soy sauce, mustard, Sriracha, Mayo)
  • Mayo
  • Barbecue sauce
  • Sriracha

Instructions

  1. Prepare the coffee rub by mixing ground coffee, brown sugar, garlic powder, chipotle chili powder, pepper, and smoked salt in a bowl.
  2. Trim the beef back ribs, remove the membrane, and apply a binder (soy paste or alternative) on both sides.
  3. Sprinkle the coffee rub on the ribs and let them sit for a while.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 325°F.
  5. Place the ribs in the air fryer and cook for 35 minutes.
  6. While the ribs cook, prepare a sauce by mixing mayo, barbecue sauce, sriracha, and soy paste.
  7. After 35 minutes, check the ribs' internal temperature (aim for almost 200°F).
  8. Apply the sauce on the ribs, return them to the air fryer for a few more minutes to caramelize.
  9. Serve the ribs hot and enjoy the delicious flavors.
