Ingredients
- Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 lemon
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic powder
- Mediterranean herbs (or Italian herbs, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare a leak-proof container for marinating the chicken.
- Cut the lemon in half and squeeze the juice into the container, removing any seeds.
- Add 2 teaspoons of olive oil to the container.
- Sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic powder on the bottom of the container.
- Add a generous amount of garlic powder to the marinade.
- Place the chicken breasts in the container, ensuring both sides are coated with the marinade.
- Sprinkle Mediterranean herbs (or other preferred herbs) on top of the chicken.
- Cover the container and refrigerate overnight for optimal flavor.
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Transfer the marinated chicken breasts to a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the chicken for 15 minutes, then check for doneness. Adjust cooking time if needed, especially for larger chicken breasts.
