Ingredients

  • 5 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup nuts or seeds (e.g., almonds, walnuts, pecans, coconut, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds)
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (e.g., peanut butter, almond butter, sunflower seed butter)
  • 1/4 cup oil (e.g., coconut oil)
  • 1-2 teaspoons flavorings (e.g., cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, vanilla extract)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine oats, nuts/seeds, and any desired spices.
  3. In a separate bowl, melt nut butter with maple syrup/honey and oil.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and mix until everything is coated.
  5. Spread the mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 30-40 minutes, tossing every 10-15 minutes to ensure even cooking.
  7. Once golden brown and crispy, remove from the oven and let it cool.
  8. Store in an airtight container for up to a couple of weeks.
  9. Enjoy your homemade granola in various ways - as a breakfast cereal, snack, or dessert topper!
