In a large pot on medium-low heat, melt butter, add milk, vanilla extract, and salt.
In a large bowl, combine crispy rice cereal and vanilla whey protein powder.
Add marshmallows to the pot and stir until almost melted. Then, add the protein powder and mix until a thick paste forms.
Remove from heat and stir in the crispy rice cereal until well combined.
Transfer the mixture to an 8x8 baking pan, press down evenly.
Allow to cool, then cut into squares. Enjoy fresh or store in a plastic bag for later. Optional: Microwave a serving for 8-10 seconds before eating.
