Spicy Tempeh with Garlic Ginger Sauce

Ingredients
- Tempeh
- Soy sauce
- Brown rice vinegar
- Brown sugar
- Chilies
- Lemon
- Chili garlic sauce
- Cornstarch
- Water
- Sesame oil
- Sesame seeds
- Red cabbage
- Black pepper
- Salt
- Green onions
- Rice
Instructions
- Marinate Tempeh in a mixture of soy sauce, brown rice vinegar, brown sugar, chilies, lemon, and chili garlic sauce. Let it sit for at least an hour.
- Sear the marinated Tempeh in a pan until heated through.
- Prepare a sauce by thickening a mixture of cornstarch and water with the marinade. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Cook rice according to package instructions.
- Sauté red cabbage in oil until crispy and slightly burnt. Season with salt, black pepper, and sesame oil. Add sesame seeds.
- Blanch green onions in boiling water for 5 minutes, then cool in a bowl of cold water.
- Squeeze excess water from the blanched green onions and add them to the pan with the cabbage. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Serve the Tempeh over rice with the garlic ginger sauce, red cabbage, and green onions. Enjoy!
