In a large mixing bowl, combine 10 cups of wild bird seed.
In a glass bowl, sprinkle 2 tablespoons of unflavored gelatin over half a cup of water and let it sit for a few minutes to bloom.
In a microwave-safe container, mix 1 tablespoon of molasses with half a cup of water and heat in the microwave for 30 seconds.
Combine the gelatin mixture with the molasses mixture to form a gel-like substance.
Pour the liquid mixture over the bird seed in the mixing bowl and stir well to ensure all seeds are coated.
Use ladles to transfer the mixture into block forms, tapping down to level.
Refrigerate the blocks overnight or until set.
Remove the blocks from the forms and store in a Ziploc bag in the fridge or a dry box to protect from pests.
Use the bird seed blocks in a feeder to prevent spillage and attract birds while deterring rodents and other pests.
