Melt some butter in a pan and caramelize the onions. Set them aside.
Season the beef patties with salt and garlic powder, then cook them in the same pan.
Mix together the mayo, ketchup, sweet relish, distilled vinegar, garlic powder, and chipotle powder to make the sauce. Refrigerate it.
Spread mustard on one side of the buns and toast them.
Add cheese to the patties and let it melt.
Assemble the burger by placing the onions on top of the cheese, then adding the patties on top of each other.
Spread the sauce on the bottom and top buns.
Put the burger together and enjoy!
