Salt the chicken pieces and mix in the garam masala, smoked paprika, and cayenne.
Grate the garlic and ginger and add a spoonful of yogurt. Mix everything until it is combined and marinate for 5 minutes.
Cook the chicken in a pan until it is cooked through.
Remove the chicken and add butter and aromatics. Cook until the aromatics are cooked and season with the same spices from earlier.
Add canned tomatoes and cook until everything is nice and thick.
Finish with cream and optionally blend.
Add the chicken back in and serve.
