1.5 pounds of Certified Angus Beef, 80% lean grind
1/2 onion, grated
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 tablespoon hot sauce
1 tablespoon Worcester sauce
4 hamburger buns
4 slices of cheese
Iceberg lettuce
Tomatoes
Instructions:
Divide the ground beef into eight portions, form them into balls, and refrigerate.
Grate half an onion and mix it with mayonnaise, yellow mustard, hot sauce, and Worcester sauce to make the special sauce.
Prepare the iceberg lettuce and tomatoes.
Butter and toast the hamburger buns over medium heat.
Preheat the griddle to high and place the balls of beef on it, giving them plenty of room.
Smash the patties using a meat mallet and season one side with salt and pepper.
Spread the special sauce on the side of the patty that hasn't cooked yet before flipping.
Top half of the patties with cheese and add a plain burger to each of the cheesy patties.
Construct the burger by placing the special sauce on the heel of the bun, followed by the lettuce and tomato slices.
Add the double patties to the bottomings and top with the crown of the bun.
Wrap the burger in parchment paper squares to contain the mess.
Serve and enjoy!
