For the glaze: 2 tablespoons melted butter, 1/2 cup whole milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions:
Warm whole milk to 105-110 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix in 1 teaspoon of sugar and active dry yeast. Set aside for 5 minutes until foamy.
In a stand mixer, combine granulated sugar, melted butter, and egg. Add the foamy yeast mixture and stir to combine.
Add all-purpose flour and salt to the wet mixture. Mix with a dough hook until a shaggy dough forms, then increase speed until a smooth, elastic dough is achieved.
Oil a bowl, transfer the dough, cover, and let it rise for 90 minutes until doubled in size.
Roll out the dough, cut into donut shapes, and let rise for 20 minutes.
Prepare the glaze by mixing melted butter, whole milk, and vanilla until smooth.
Air fry the donuts in batches at 350 degrees Fahrenheit: donuts for 8 minutes, donut holes for 6 minutes.
Dip the warm donuts in the glaze and enjoy.
