Cook ground beef in a skillet, then add onions, garlic, basil, oregano, brown sugar, salt, tomato paste, and diced tomatoes. Simmer for 30-45 minutes.
Cook lasagna noodles until al dente, then rinse with cold water.
Make ricotta filling by mixing eggs, ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, parsley, and salt.
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Assemble lasagna in layers: sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, mozzarella cheese, repeat. Top with remaining sauce and parmesan cheese.
Cover with foil, bake for an hour, then remove foil and bake for another 20 minutes until golden brown.
Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
