Creamy White Sauce Pasta

Ingredients
- 2 cups penne pasta
- 5 to 6 cups water
- Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon oil
- 2 teaspoons oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped
- 1 onion, roughly chopped
- 1 small carrot, chopped
- 1/2 capsicum, cubed
- Handful of boiled corn
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour (maida)
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon mixed herb seasoning
- 3 to 4 tablespoons grated cheese
Instructions
- Boil pasta in salted water with oil until 80% cooked (about 7-8 minutes). Strain and rinse under cold water.
- In a pan, sauté garlic and onion in oil. Add carrot, capsicum, corn, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2 minutes.
- In another pan, melt butter, add maida, and cook for 3-4 minutes. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Season the white sauce with salt, black pepper, red chili flakes, and mixed herb seasoning. Cook for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
- Add vegetables and pasta to the white sauce. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Adjust sauce consistency with milk or water if needed. Add grated cheese and mix until melted.
- Serve hot with red chili flakes, mixed herb seasoning, and extra grated cheese on top. Enjoy!
