Reverse Seared Rib Eyes with Black Garlic Butter

Ingredients

  • 3 large rib eyes
  • Oil
  • Homemade beef seasoning
  • 1 stick of softened butter
  • 1 tablespoon chopped rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon black garlic paste with bourbon

Instructions

  1. Preheat smoker to 250°F.
  2. Lather rib eyes with oil and season with homemade beef seasoning.
  3. In a bowl, mix softened butter, chopped rosemary, and black garlic paste with bourbon.
  4. Roll the butter mixture into a log and set aside.
  5. Smoke the rib eyes for 1 to 1.5 hours until they reach an internal temperature of 120°F, flipping them halfway through.
  6. Remove the rib eyes from the smoker and let them rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
  7. Preheat a high heat grill.
  8. Sear the rib eyes for 1 minute per side.
  9. Top each rib eye with a slice of the black garlic butter.
  10. Slice and serve. Enjoy!
