In a bowl, mix the chicken cubes with garam masala, curry powder, brown sugar, turmeric, coriander seed, cumin, cinnamon, paprika, chili powder, and salt. Let it marinate for an hour.
In a stainless steel pot, heat a little olive oil and cook the marinated chicken on high heat for 3 to 4 minutes.
Add butter to the pot, then sauté diced onions and ginger over medium heat for 10 minutes.
Pour in tomato sauce and heavy whipping cream. Simmer over medium heat for 45 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
Squeeze in the juice of half a lemon and garnish with cilantro before serving.
