In a bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until almost combined.
Add the chocolate chips and mix for 30 seconds until evenly distributed.
Press the cookie dough into the prepared skillet.
Sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top.
Bake for 22-25 minutes or until the edges are browned and the center is cooked.
Sprinkle with flaked sea salt (optional).
Serve with ice cream.
