Classic Meatloaf

Ingredients
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 2 teaspoons parsley
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 eggs
- Barbecue sauce (to taste)
- Glaze
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, diced onion, bread crumbs, parsley, garlic powder, salt, pepper, eggs, and barbecue sauce. Mix well.
- Shape the meatloaf mixture into a loaf about 8 inches long and 4 inches wide on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, ketchup, and mustard to make the glaze.
- Remove the meatloaf from the oven, pour the glaze over the top, and brush it on the sides.
- Return the meatloaf to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. Enjoy!
