Melt milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe dish in 20-30 second intervals until smooth and glossy.
Pour a small amount of melted chocolate into cupcake tray compartments, spreading it to cover the bottom using the back of a spoon.
Chill in the fridge or freezer until chocolate firms up (5-10 minutes in the freezer or longer in the fridge).
Soften peanut butter in the microwave for 30 seconds and spread a layer over the chilled chocolate bases.
Chill again for 20-30 minutes in the fridge or 5-10 minutes in the freezer until peanut butter layer sets.
Melt more milk chocolate and pour over the peanut butter layer.
Chill once more in the fridge or freezer until the top chocolate layer sets.
