Homemade Apple Cider

Ingredients
- 10 apples (any variety)
- Water
- Sugar
- Cinnamon
- Allspice
Instructions
- Wash and quarter 10 apples, leaving the core in. Keep the skins on for color.
- Place the apples in a large pot and fill with water, ensuring it covers the apples by about two inches.
- Add sugar, cinnamon, and allspice to the pot.
- Stir the mixture and bring it to a boil, then simmer uncovered for about an hour.
- Cover the pot and let it simmer for an additional two hours.
- Strain out the solids from the mixture, pressing out any leftover juice from the cooked apples.
- Strain the liquid through cheesecloth into another pot or pitcher.
- Serve the apple cider hot or cold, garnishing with a cinnamon stick if desired. Enjoy!
