Instructions:
In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
In a medium-sized bowl, cream together the butter, shortening, white sugar, and brown sugar using a pastry blender until creamy.
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt until evenly distributed.
Combine the contents of the medium and small bowls into the large bowl, stirring gradually until a cookie dough consistency is achieved.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed in the dough.
Scoop cookie dough onto a baking sheet using a cookie scoop or the two-spoon method.
Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 9 minutes or until lightly golden.
Allow the cookies to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring them to a cooling rack.
