For the barbecue sauce: 1 cup of ketchup, 1/4 cup of dark brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika, 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon of Chinese black vinegar, 3 tablespoons of rye whiskey (optional), 1/2 cup of water, 3 tablespoons of white distilled vinegar
Instructions:
Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes and rough chop the chicken skin.
Grind the meat and skin together until fine. Mix with salt, sugar, and MSG. Chill in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Prepare three coatings: thin cornstarch batter, flour dredge, and tempura batter.
Shape the chicken mixture into nugget shapes. Coat in cornstarch, flour mixture, and tempura batter.
Fry in oil at 375°F for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Drain on a wire rack.
For the barbecue sauce, combine all ingredients, simmer for 15-20 minutes until thick.
Serve the homemade McNuggets with the barbecue sauce. Enjoy!
