Crush canned whole tomatoes by hand and add to the pan. Season with salt, pepper, sugar, and fresh basil. Simmer.
Mix breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, eggs, milk, and reserved onion-garlic mixture. Let sit.
Toast breadcrumbs in olive oil until golden brown.
Combine breadcrumb mixture with ground beef, ground pork, chopped basil, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
Shape meatballs and sear in olive oil until golden brown.
Add meatballs to the tomato sauce and simmer.
Cook spaghetti in salted water. Reserve some pasta water.
Toss cooked spaghetti with olive oil, Parmesan, and pasta water.
Plate spaghetti, top with sauce, meatballs, Parmesan, olive oil, breadcrumbs, and fresh basil.
Serve and enjoy!
