Beat the egg until it turns a bright yellow color.
Sift the cake flour, baking powder, and salt through a strainer.
Add sugar and mix well.
Add half of the milk and mix until no flour is visible.
Add the remaining milk and mix well.
Melt the unsalted butter and add it to the mixture, stirring to avoid lumps.
Fill cupcake molds up to 80% full.
Place the molds in a steamer when the water boils.
Cover the top with a cotton cloth or kitchen towel.
Steam for 20 minutes without opening the lid.
