Blackened Salmon with Cajun Cream Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 five to six ounce salmon fillets
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Cajun seasoning
- Chili powder
- 3-4 tablespoons butter
- 1-2 tablespoons Better Than Bouillon lobster base
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1-2 tablespoons flour
- Chicken stock
- Heavy cream
- Parmesan cheese
- Tony's Cajun or Creole seasoning
- Lemon
- Thyme
- Avocado oil or vegetable oil
- Parsley
Instructions
- Season salmon fillets with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, Cajun seasoning, and chili powder.
- Prepare Cajun cream sauce by melting butter, adding lobster base, garlic, flour, chicken stock, and heavy cream. Season with Cajun seasoning, add Parmesan cheese, and adjust seasoning.
- Cook seasoned salmon in a hot skillet with oil, flipping after 90 seconds per side. Baste with butter and thyme.
- Finish cooking salmon in a 400-degree oven for 6-8 minutes or until desired doneness.
- Plate salmon with Cajun cream sauce, garnish with parsley, and serve.
